Gain an interdisciplinary skillset for designing, analyzing, managing and securing information systems and IT-related projects with HU. Our online program merges practical and theoretical concepts from across computer science and IT, with a focus on fast-growing areas including mobile computing, virtualization, cloud services and data analytics. You can choose from two concentrations: IT Infrastructure and Networking or Operating Systems, Virtualization, and Cloud Computing.

What you’ll learn
As a graduate of this program, you will be able to:
- Apply general computing and information systems;
- Analyze complex organizational issues and user needs using specified technical computing requirements and specs; and,
- Manage information systems, including the supporting technologies of setup, configuration, and troubleshooting phases.

There are many IT-related careers you can pursue with our online ITIS degree, and many of them are projected to experience steady job growth over the 2022-2032 period, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. For example, computer systems analyst jobs are projected to grow by 10% nationally, potentially adding up to 51,100 new jobs to the economy.1

Equip yourself to design, set up, configure, and troubleshoot the hardware that houses networks, powers data centers, and makes cloud computing possible. This concentration will prepare you for the CCNA certification exam.
The most well-designed network system needs software to run on it. In this concentration, you can learn to design, install, and configure operating systems on physical machines and virtual- or cloud-based servers while preparing for Linux and VMware certification exams.
How to Apply
To apply to the online B.S. in Information Systems and Information Technology, you will need to have graduated from high school with a minimum GPA of 2.75 or have a GED.
Applicants with work experience and a high school diploma or GED are encouraged to apply in order receive a review of your qualifications for acceptance.
